Download PCRemotely
Remote desktop and support with 4:4:4 colour and no port forwarding. Free for personal use; professional use and client network access go with the technician's plan.
Windows will show an “Unknown publisher” notice when you run it. Before installing, compare the file's SHA-256 with the value published for this version. A matching checksum shows the file is the one we published; it does not certify the publisher.
Get-FileHash -LiteralPath "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\PCRemotely-Setup.exe" -Algorithm SHA256
Compare the result with the SHA-256 published at /api/updates/check. If it does not match, do not run that file.

Release Notes (v2.5.1)
- The session no longer drops on a security prompt: when Windows shows a UAC confirmation or the lock screen, you now see and control it instead of losing the connection — accept the dialog, or type the password to unlock, without leaving the session.
- On the physical console and over RDP: the security screen is captured at the right resolution whether the client is sitting at the machine or connected by Remote Desktop, so nothing turns huge after a lock.
- A background helper, installed with the app: no separate download. It only works during a session the client has accepted; unattended access stays something the machine’s owner turns on locally, never the technician remotely.
- Clean updates and uninstall: updating removes the previous version first, and uninstalling clears every trace it left — service, folders and settings.
- Steadier ID, clearer password: the device ID now survives reinstalls and updates, and the one-time password is shown bigger and spaced so it is easy to read out over the phone.
